Clarksville, Ark.-University of the Ozarks freshman forward Francisco Garza was named the American Southwest Conference men's soccer Offensive Player of the Week, the league office announced Monday.
The 6-foot-2, 175-pound San Antonio, Texas, product notched two scores and the game-winner in a 5-3 win over LeTourneau University October 24. On October 23, Garza scored a goal and had an assist in a 3-0 victory against East Texas Baptist. He finished the week with four shots and seven points.
Garza has scored six goals and recorded four assists this season. He has accumulated 23 shots and has played in all 16 matches.
He is a graduate of Clark High School where he was a four-time First Team All-District performer.
Ozarks will host Concordia University Texas October 29 and UT-Tyler October 31.
