Five Basketball Players Named To ASC All-Academic Team

Clarksville, Ark.-Five University of the Ozarks student-athletes have been recognized by the American Southwest Conference as Academic All-Conference award recipients in men's and women's basketball for the 2006-07 season, announced by the league office on Wednesday.

<#IMAGE:1#>The women’s basketball squad placed four athletes on the team: senior physical education major Mandi Carter from Clarksville; junior environmental studies major Erica Eneks from Mountainburg; senior early childhood education major Lindsey Nietert from Branch; and senior biology major Jeanne Randall from Bryant. Clint McHenry, a junior marketing major from Sallisaw, Okla., represented the men’s basketball team. To be eligible for ASC All-Academic honors, student-athletes must have lettered during 2006-2007 basketball season, be in at least their second academic year at their institution and carry a career grade-point average of 3.00 or better.
