Clarksville, Ark.-Robby Finnell's three-run home run set the tone for a big first inning as the University of the Ozarks baseball team took a 8-3 win over East Texas Baptist University on Friday in American Southwest Conference play.

John Glenn opened the game with a single and Bruce Cameron later got on base with a single to set up Finnell’s home run. Finnell sent a shot over the left field fence, his sixth of the season, to give Ozarks (11-8, 1-0) a 3-0 lead. David Saams later singled in Jimmy Pannell for the final run of the inning. The Eagles added a pair of runs in the seventh and eighth innings. Finnell finished 1-for-5 with 3 RBI. Glenn, Andrew Teaster and Cory Briggs each collected two hits. Todd Koch (2-3) got the win. He pitched six and two-third innings and had four strikeouts. Finnell received the save.
