Finnell Garners ASC Hitter of the Week Honors

Clarksville, Ark.-Sophomore right fielder Robby Finnell garnered American Southwest Conference East Division Hitter of the Week honors, it was announced on Monday afternoon.

Finnell, a 6-0, 215-pound native of Tulsa, Okla., went 6-for-10 with a double and triple and scored four runs to help Ozarks take two-of-three games in the weekend ASC East series at Division leader Texas-Tyler. The right-handed slugger closed the series hitting 3-for-4 and earning the win after pitching 4.0 innings. Finnell opened his hot-hitting week going 4-for-5 with two home runs and four RBI in a non-conference win against Hendrix College to help compile a .666 batting average over the four games (10-for-15). He is among the top five on the team in batting (.356), home runs (3), slugging percentage (.529), hits (31), runs (20), walks (14) and doubles (4). He has hit safely in 19 games this season and has collected eight multiple-hit games. On the mound, he is 2-0 with a 1.93 ERA. He is a graduate of Hale High School.
