Finnell Drives In 7; Eagles Complete Sweep Against ETBU

Clarksville, Ark.-The Eagles jumped on East Texas Baptist early scoring three runs in the first and five runs in the second to help them to a 19-9 win Monday and more importantly completing a three-game sweep.

Ozarks moves to 15-2 overall and 3-0 in American Southwest Conference play. The Tigers drop to 5-11 overall and 0-3 in ASC play.

Robby Finnell doubled in John Glenn for the first run of the game. Robert Mummey and Todd Koch also collected RBI in the frame. Ozarks added five more runs in the bottom of the second, four of which came from a grand slam by Finnell. It was his third homer of the season. Cory Briggs hit a two-run single in the third to increase their lead to 10-2. Mummey went yard in the fourth to make it 12-2. Brad Broussard scored two runs with a deep double to right center in the eighth. Finnell would record two more RBI in the eighth when he doubled in David Smith and Glenn.

Finnell tied his career-high with seven RBI. He finished 3-for-5. Smith went 4-for-5. Briggs and Mummey drove in three. Mummey now has six home runs.

Bruce Cameron (2-0) got the win. The junior went six innings and struck out five.

The Eagles will host Lyon College tomorrow at 1:00 p.m.
