Conway, Ark.-Senior forward Jordyn Ferrell scored a game-high 21 points and was one of four Lady Eagles in double figures as Ozarks rolled to a 70-56 win over Bacone College Tuesday night in non-conference play.

Bacone’s frenzied offensive play had little effect on Ozarks (2-3). At the midway point of the first half, the Lady Eagles turned a one-point advantage into a 37-22 lead over a six-minute span. Ferrell completed a three-point play to begin the run and Tamara Wilkett followed with a jumper at the 8:03 mark to put Ozarks ahead 24-18. Jordana Andrews scored back-to-back baskets to push the lead to 32-20 with 4:29 remaining. A RaShelle Goldman three-pointer at the 2:27 mark gave the Lady Eagles a 15-point advantage and Ozarks ended the first half with a 40-28 lead.

Ozarks controlled the second half, but Bacone (1-2) did cut the deficit to eight points twice. However, the Lady Eagles responded each time to take the momentum back. Ferrell scored 14 points in the second half and finished 10-of-10 from the free throw line in the game.

Bacone rarely ran a set offensive play in the game while Ozarks displayed a solid inside-outside effort. The Lady Eagles got points from all ten players that saw action. Taylor Farmer had 12 points, while Goldman and Andrews each contributed 10 points.

Ozarks will hit the road for conference games against Hardin-Simmons November 29 and Concordia December 1.
