
Nicole Justice England has been named the University of the Ozarks’ new director of the Walton International Scholarship Program (WISP) and international program manager. The move became effective in May.
A 2018 graduate of Ozarks, England had been serving as director of student life since October 2020. She joined her alma mater in 2019 as the international program and global outreach manager.
A native of Panama, England’s mother, Lilia Carrion, was a Walton Scholar at Ozarks in the late 1980s and early 1990s.
“I am honored to serve in this new role as the director of the Walton International Scholarship Program and international program manager,” England said. “Throughout my life, I’ve been able to witness the impact of the Walton International Scholarship Program through family and friends. It is truly a life changing and meaningful program. Overall, I am excited to serve our international students and expand the internationalization of our campus by fostering global relationships and continuing to highlight the importance of international education.”
England graduated from Ozarks with majors in political science and international business with Summa Cum Laude honors. She also has a master’s degree in international relations from the University of London Institute in Paris, France.
England is currently on maternity leave with her and husband Aaron’s first child, Mathias. She will begin working remotely later this month and will return to campus in July.
Terri Thomas was named dean of students in May. The 2012 Ozarks graduate will begin her new duties on July 1.
