Elmhurst Takes Two From Eagles

Clarksville, Ark.- The Eagles dropped two games to Elmhurst College March 24. Elmhurst took the first game 17-12 and the second contest 9-5.

Elmhurst held a 9-0 advantage in the top of the third inning before Ozarks got on the board in the bottom of the inning. The Eagles would score four runs in the third, two runs in both the fourth and fifth innings and four runs in the sixth, but Elmhurst would add four runs in the final inning of play to gain the win. Hays and Farrin paced Ozarks with two hits each. Collazo received the loss. The second game of the double-header again saw the Eagles climb back into the contest after facing a 9-1 deficit in the final inning of play. Ozarks scored four runs in the bottom of the seventh on a two RBI double by Harrell and RBI’s by Clint Phifer and Farrin. The Eagles, however, were unable to keep the rally going. Harrell received the loss.
