Conway, Ark.-Kanisha Eckart came through in the clutch with the game-winning goal in the 87th minute to propel the Lady Eagles to a 3-2 win over Central Baptist College Tuesday night in Conway.
Central Baptist (3-5-0) scored the first half’s only goal to take a 1-0 lead into the second half. But Eckart would answer with a goal in the 47th minute to even the score at 1-1. It was her first goal of the season. Vicky Romero received the assist. Alex Lewis then gave Ozarks (5-2-0) a 2-1 advantage after scoring off a corner kick in the 53rd minute. Central Baptist eventually tied the match 2-2 before Eckart provided the heroics with the game-winner near the end of the match. Kristen Callahan had the assist.
Codie Freeman had four saves in goal for Ozarks.
Ozarks will travel to Oklahoma City to face Mid-America Christian September 20 and Southwestern Christian September 21.
