Clinton, Miss.-Mississippi College jumped out to a 3-0 half time lead and held on for a 3-0 shutout against the Eagles Saturday in American Southwest Conference play.
The Choctaws (4-2-0, 1-1-0 ASC) scored in the 4th minute and then added another goal in the 21st minute to build a 2-0 advantage. Ozarks (2-4-0, 1-1-0 ASC) did have several opportunities in the first half to score, but were unable to connect on any of their ten shots. The Choctaws took control of the match when it scored in the 35th minute to hold a 3-0 lead. In the second half, Ozarks again created opportunities to score, but couldn’t produce a goal on one of its ten shots. Tony Santoro had four shots for Ozarks.
Neil Thompson had four saves.
