Clarksville, Ark.-The U of O men's soccer team suffered a 5-4 loss to Texas Lutheran University in the American Southwest Conference tournament semifinal match on November 8 at Lutheran's Gustafson field in Seguin, Texas.

After 90 minutes of regulation and two 10-minute overtimes, the score remained notched at 1-1, sending the match into a shootout. Ozarks converted on three of the five shootout opportunities while Texas Lutheran connected on four of the five shootout chances. Ozarks gained momentum after a Taylor Magee goal in the 69th minute to give the Eagles a 1-0 lead. Daniel Faires recorded the assist. Texas Lutheran would then tie the match with a goal in the 77th minute. A determined Eagles sqaud, who played with a man down for eleven minutes of the overtime periods, took the advantage in the shootout after goalkeeper Chris Schultz stopped Lutheran’s second shootout attempt. However, Ozarks failed to convert two other attempts while Lutheran nailed their final three attempts. Schultz made a season best 12 saves. Faires and Schultz were named to the All-Tournament team. Ozarks ended the season with a 13-7-0 record.
