Eagles Suffer Second Half Scoring Drought

Clarksville, Ark.-The Eagles held a 33-32 lead at halftime, but were out scored 51-31 in the second half in a 83-64 loss against UT-Tyler in American Southwest Conference play on Thursday night.

The Patriots (8-10, 7-6) held just a 47-45 lead with 13:23 remaining in the game, but out scored Ozarks (8-9, 5-8) 36-19 the rest of the way. After a layup by Chris Williams to make it 49-57 with 10:47 left, Ozarks wouldn’t score again until the 7:05 mark. And by that time, UT-Tyler had built a 65-50 lead.

Ozarks was led by Habeeb Kareem’s 11 points. Chris Williams and Tony Daniels each had 10 points. Clint McHenry had 7 rebounds and 8 points.

Ozarks will play at UT-Dallas on February 4.
