Clarksville, Ark.-The Eagles took game one 7-2 Saturday, but Schreiner University came back and won the night cap 8-6.
In game one, Driedric doubled in Tyler Hydrick to give Ozarks a quick 1-0 lead in the first. Schreiner then loaded the bases with one out in the second, but Ozarks starter Tyler Erickson worked his way out of the jam with no runs. Tony Morales drove in Driedric in the third for a 2-0 lead. A Freddy Prince double in the fifth sent Morales to third base for Brill. Brill promptly delivered a hit to score both. Hydrick recorded an RBI triple later in the inning to bring the score to 6-0. Morales hit an RBI double in the sixth to make it 7-2.
Erickson (2-1) went seven innings to receive the win. He was charged with one earned run and struck out four.
Four different players had two hits apiece.
In game two, Ozarks cruised out to a 2-0 lead after Morales drove in two runs on a double in the first. But Schreiner took the lead in the fourth and then added two runs in the fifth to move ahead 5-2. Morales drove in Peyton Johnigan in the fifth, but Ozarks still trailed 8-3 going into the bottom of the sixth. The Eagles did get two runs back in the bottom half of the inning and loaded the bases in the bottom of the ninth only to strand the game-winning run.
Prince (0-3) took the loss after tossing six innings. He had five strikeouts.
Morales finished 3-for-5 with 3 RBI.
Ozarks will host Hendrix College February 28 at 1:30 p.m. and then will travel to University of Mary Hardin-Baylor this weekend for a three-game series.
