Eagles Run Past ETBU On Hall of Fame Day

Clarksville, Ark.-The Eagles opened the game with a 11-0 run and never slowed down to pick up a 81-65 victory over East Texas Baptist in Saturday?s American Southwest Conference contest and Hall of Fame game.

Eight minutes into the game, Ozarks (5-10, 3-7 ASC) held a 18-6 advantage and then stretched its lead to 31-16 with less than five minutes remaining in the half. The Eagles posted a 32-22 advantage at the half. East Texas Baptist (6-9, 2-7 ASC) didn’t help itself as it made only 1-of-16 from the three-point line in the first half. The Tigers hit just 1-of-11 from the free throw line in the first half. Ozarks meanwhile kept up the pace and pushed its lead to 51-32 at the 14:30 mark of the second half. Three Eagles combined for 39 points in the second half to keep the Tigers from getting any closer than seven points. Ronnie Dodd had 15 points, Marcus Bobb had 14 points and Andrew Cummings had 10 points in the second half. Ozarks hit 15-of-20 from the floor in the second half.

The Tigers shot 3-of-28 from the three-point line in the game.

Dodd finished with a double-double (22 points, 11 rebounds). Bobb added 20 points and Cummings ended with 17 points.

Ozarks will travel to Mississippi College and Louisiana College for games January 17 and January 19.
