Clarksville, Ark.-The Eagles won their eighth straight match with a 2-0 victory over Louisiana College on Thursday night.
The win sets up a match-up of unbeaten’s in league play when the Eagles (9-1-0, 4-0-0) travel to Clinton, Mississippi, to face Mississippi College (5-1-1, 4-0-1) on Saturday. Ozarks had another stellar performance against Louisiana College (4-5-0, 2-3-0), outshooting the home team 26-6. Shaun Renfro put Ozarks on top 1-0 with a goal in the 32nd minute. Nate Abbott received the assist. The Eagles totaled 14 shots in the first half. Darren Clark would score his fifth goal of the season when he found the back of the net in the 76th minute. Renfro finished with a team-best six shots. Brian Sarber had three saves while notching his third shutout of the season and improving his goals against average to 0.65.
