Clarksville, Ark.-The University of the Ozarks men's soccer team scored a pair of goals in each half to prevail over Texas Lutheran University 4-1 Saturday afternoon in American Southwest Conference play in Seguin, Texas.

Ozarks (11-5-1, 8-3-0 ASC) fell behind 1-0 when Texas Lutheran’s Matt Hoskins scored in the 17th minute. That would be all the offense for the Bulldogs (6-10-1, 4-7-0), however, as Ozarks would counter with a Jared Gordon goal in the 31st minute off a corner kick from Dylan Evans. It was Gordon’s team-leading 13th goal of the season. Ozarks wouldn’t stop there. Philip Johnson scored in the 42nd minute on an unassisted goal. Leading 2-1 in the second half, Ryan Skelly added a goal in the 60th minute on an assist from Darren Clark. Skelly then fed Shaun Renfro, who scored his 4th goal of the season in the 84th minute. Skelly ups his season goal total to 5, and his assist total to a team-best 8. Ozarks outshot the Bulldogs 19-11. Gordon, Skelly and Jason Caskey each had 3 shots. Ozarks keeper Brian Sarber had 6 saves. Ozarks will finish the regular season with a pair of ASC matches and a non-conference match. The Eagles will host LeTourneau University on October 27 and East Texas Baptist University on October 28. Central Baptist College comes to Clarksville October 31 to end the regular season.
