Clarksville, Ark.-The Eagles pounded out 17 hits and three players recorded three hits apiece in a 9-7 win over Central Baptist College Thursday afternoon at Lonnie R. Qualls Field.

Central Baptist (2-27) opened with an early 2-0 lead, and then built a 2-1 advantage. The Mustangs maintained that lead all the way until the bottom of the fourth before the Eagles (16-20) plated four runs. Both Bruce Cameron and Jeremy Hogan drove in pair of runs on singles to give Ozarks a 5-2 lead in the frame. Tad Turner tripled in Arturo Perez in the fifth and David Smith added a solo home run in the sixth to give Ozarks a 7-6 lead. Ozarks had another productive inning in the seventh when they added two runs. Logan Kizer had a single to center, and Turner and Jonathan Cox each reached base on bunt singles. Smith roped a single to left field to score one and Bruce Cameron dropped another single to left field to bring in the ninth run of the game. The Mustangs made it interesting in the ninth, putting two runners on board, but relief pitcher John Scheuring struck out the final two batters to end the game.

Travis Conner went five and two-third innings and struck out five as the starter. Bill Smith (2-1) received the win in relief. Scheuring picked up his second save of the season.

Smith finished 3-for-5 with two RBI, Cameron went 3-for-4 with three RBI and Turner went 3-for-5 with an RBI.

The Eagles will travel to Sherman, Texas, to face Austin College in a three-game series this Saturday and Sunday.
