Clarksville, Ark.-The U of O men's soccer teams traveled to Batesville on Saturday to face Lyon College in non-conference action.
The Eagles (1-2-0) dropped a 3-2 decision to the Scots. The Eagles were defeated 3-2 on a last minute goal by the Scotts in the 88th minute. Senior forward Ricky Herrera tied the match at 1-1 in the 19th minute on a pass from sophomore forward Ron Hogsett. Hogsett would then score in the 23rd minute to give the Eagles a 2-1 lead. Herrera had the assist. The Scotts would then score two unanswered goals late in the match to take the win. Junior goalkeeper Chris Schultz (1-2) had 10 saves in the match. They will face open conference play against Austin College September 12 at home. Ozarks faces Hendrix College in Conway September 9.
