Clarksville, Ark.-Scott Janders and Tate Ramirez scored goals to lead the Eagles to a 2-1 win over Oglethorpe University Sunday in Atlanta, Ga.
Janders collected his first collegiate goal in the 25th minute on an assist from Brandon VanCleave. Holding a 1-0 lead, Ozarks (2-1-0) struck again early in the second half behind Ramirez’s goal. It was also his first collegiate goal. Guido Salas received the assist. Oglethorpe (2-1-0) made things interesting when they scored in the 84th minute. Ozarks totaled 12 shots in the match, with Philip Johnson leading the way with 3 of those.
Christian Ridings had four saves in his 90 minutes of play.
Ozarks will travel to Conway to face Hendrix College September 9.
