Clarksville, Ark.-Six Eagles had at least two hits in a 12-7 non-conference win over Hendrix College Thursday in Conway.
Both Andrew Teaster and Todd Koch each posted three-hit games while Bruce Cameron, David Smith, Jeremy Hogan and Logan Kizer all had a pair of hits apiece. Koch and Cameron drove in a combined eight runs to pace the offense. The Eagles (10-14) started strong plating nine of their 12 runs in the first three innings. Already ahead 2-0, the Eagles added four runs in the top of the second behind a Teaster RBI double and a Koch three-run homer. It was Koch’s fourth home run of the year. Teaster highlighted the third frame with another double, this time scoring two runs, and Cameron was credited with an RBI to put Ozarks up 9-0. Hendrix (10-17) scored five runs in the bottom of the third on five hits. Ozarks wouldn’t score again until the seventh inning, with Cameron recording a two-run single.
Spencer Bartlett went four innings in his first career start. The freshman registered three strikeouts and did not issue a walk. Travis Conner (1-0) took the win after throwing two and one-third innings. Conner gave up one earned run and recorded one strikeout.
Koch finished 3-for-5 with 4 RBI, Teaster went 3-for-6 with 3 RBI and Cameron went 2-for-5 with 4 RBI.
The Eagles will travel to Longview, Texas, to face LeTourneau University March 28 and March 29.
