Eagles March To 82-73 Win

Clarksville, Ark.-The Eagles shot 55 percent from the field in each half and Ronnie Dodd recorded a double-double to push Ozarks past LeTourneau University 82-73 Thursday in American Southwest Conference play.

The Eagles (4-10, 2-9 ASC) have won two out of their last three and will host Texas-Tyler Saturday.

Dodd scored 18 points and pulled down 11 rebounds in the winning effort. He had 14 points in the first half to help Ozarks hold a 44-33 halftime advantage. The Eagles were solid at the free throw line in the first twenty minutes of action, hitting 11-of-13 (84%). LeTourneau (3-11, 2-9 ASC) held the lead just three times in the first half and then faced a 13-point deficit early in the second half. Marcus Bobb and Andrew Cummings led the way in the second half with 12 and 11 points, respectively. The YellowJackets did cut it to 49-42 at the 15:22 mark, but Ozarks raced out to 55-42 just two minutes later. The Eagles then extended the lead to 63-47 with 7:43 remaining. Cummings was particularly tough at the free throw line as he hit 9-of-10 in the second half.

Cummings scored 17 points on the night and Bobb finished with 15 points. David Robertson and Joshua Clark each contributed 10 points.
