The Department of Education announced a further delay to release batches of FAFSA information (ISIRs) to schools until the first half of March.

Eagles Let Halftime Lead Slip Away

Clarksville, Ark.-The Eagles let go of a 29-25 halftime lead in a 69-66 road loss against Rhema Bible College Tuesday night in non-conference play.

Ozarks (1-3) shot an impressive 52 percent from the field in the first half and held Rhema (2-4) to a 31 percent shooting clip. Ozarks led by as many as 11 points in the first half behind a Blake Mitchem 12-point effort. But Ozarks couldn’t keep it going in the second half as Rhema shot 54 percent in the final 20 minutes to outscore the Eagles 44-37. Rhema forced a season-high 23 turnovers in the game, and converted those into 23 points.

Ozarks had an impressive game on the boards, outrebounding Rhema 45-33. Mitchem posted another double-double (23 points, 15 rebounds). Jerard McGinty snagged 11 rebounds and added 7 points. Colby Woolverton and Josh Odom each had 10 points.

Ozarks will open American Southwest Conference play when it hosts Concordia University Texas November 28 and Mary Hardin-Baylor November 30. Both games can be heard on www.kxio.nu and live video will also be available on Ozarks’ web site.
