Clarksville, Ark.-The men?s and women?s cross country teams hosted the second annual Ozarks Invitational September 29 in Clarksville Saturday morning.
The Eagles had a strong showing in the 8K, with two runners 
finishing among the top-10. Ozarks placed third at the race with 72 points. Matt Friant paced the Eagles with a fourth-place finish after running a 28:09. Calvin Jones placed tenth in the race by running a 29:48. Nick Brill followed with a 31:43 time, good enough for 21st. Both Ian Bryan and Robert Elder each placed in the top-20. Bryan ran a 32:28, while Elder ran a 32:52. Max Hilgendorf (36:36), Chase Karnstadt (40:30), Nick Conrad (44:18) and Will Holifield (46:53) rounded out Ozarks’ runners.
The Lady Eagles finished seventh in the 5K. Ozarks top runner was Kara Willbanks, who ran a 22:02 for a 22nd overall. Samantha Sparks was 31st overall after posting a 22:48 time. Cindy Henriquez was 54th after running a 26:14.

Ozarks will host the Arkansas D-III Championships October 17 against Hendrix College.
