Clarksville, Ark.- UT-Dallas' strong first half performance was too much for the Eagles to overcome as the Comets came away with a 76-56 win in American Southwest Conference play on Thursday night in Richardson.

At 5-10 in league play, the Eagles trail fifth-place East Texas Baptist (6-10) and fourth-place Louisiana College (6-9) in the race for the playoffs. UT-Dallas (15-5, 10-5) hit 64 percent of their shots in the first half while holding the Eagles (6-14, 5-10) to only 11 field goals en route to leading 40-22 at intermission. Ozarks got as close as 43-28 early in the second half, but UT-Dallas held a 20-point lead for most of the final twenty minutes of play. Jeremy Clark, Habeeb Kareem and David Green had 8 points apiece. Kareem had a team-high 5 rebounds. Ozarks will travel to Tyler, Texas, to face UT-Tyler on Saturday.
