Clarksville, Ark.-The Eagles had a 35-33 halftime lead, but shot just 30 percent from the field in the second half as East Texas Baptist came out with a 75-66 win in American Southwest Conference play Saturday.
The Tigers (14-11, 11-9 ) held the lead for most of the first half, but an Andre Williams three-pointer with 31 seconds left gave the Eagles (10-15, 8-12) a two-point lead at intermission. Ozarks rode that momentum for the first five minutes of the second half, with Jeremy Clark completing a three-point play to put the Eagles ahead 44-40 at the 14:40 mark. However, the Tigers came back to take a 52-46 advantage with 11:32 remaining to swing momentum in their favor. Colby Woolverton completed a three-point play of his own to get Ozarks within 55-53 with 7:25 left, but that would be as close as Ozarks would get.
Chris Williams posted his ninth double-double of the season after scoring 18 points and pulling down 11 rebounds. Clark led the team with 21 points.
