Clarksville, Ark.-The University of the Ozarks men pulled out a thrilling 86-82 double overtime win against Hendrix College Tuesday night.
The Eagles (2-1) outscored Hendrix (3-2) 6-3 in the second overtime to secure a win. Ricky Allen put on a dominating first half performance with 24 points. He went 9-of-12 from the field while scoring at will. The Warriors roared back in the second half behind a 65 percent shooting clip.
Neither team shot well from the free throw line as Hendrix hit just 21-of-39 (53%) and Ozarks hit only 24-of42 (57%).
Allen ended with a game-high 34 points. Josh Ferrell had 15 points and Andrew Cummings added 12.
Ozarks will host Texas-Tyler in its conference opener Saturday.
