Eagles Earn 67-58 Win Over Texas Lutheran

Clarksville, Ark.-The University of the Ozarks men's basketball team earned a 67-58 victory over Texas Lutheran University in American Southwest Conference play on Saturday.

Ozarks (4-3, 3-1) took a 36-32 halftime lead and never looked back as they trailed for only about a minute of play in the second half against the Bulldogs (1-5, 1-2). The Eagles’ lead never got into double-digits in second half play, but Ozarks had control as they maintained a two possession lead for most of the second half. Tony Brock hit a free throw with :40 second left to give the Eagles a 63-58 advantage. Ted Beard then hit a pair of jumpers to secure the win. The Eagles forced 22 turnovers and had a 37-28 rebounding advantage in the game. The Eagles shot a solid 48 percent from the field, with Beard leading the team with 15 points. Chris Clark had 12 points and a team-high 8 rebounds. Ozarks had a total of 20 assists.
