Clarksville, Ark.-Despite a 1-0 loss to UT-Dallas on Sunday afternoon, the Eagles still remain in contention for a trip to the American Southwest Conference tournament and can earn their fourth consecutive post-season appearance with a win at Austin College on Oct. 31.

In a match that appeared to be heading into overtime, the visiting Comets (12-7-0, 10-4-0) pulled out the win on a goal by Ali Morshedi in the 83rd minute. The hard fought contest ended when Morshedi drilled his tenth goal of the season. UT-Dallas would end the match with a 12-9 shot advantage. Ricky Herrera and Justin Goodman each had two shots apiece to lead Ozarks. Goalkeeper Chris Schultz had four saves. The Eagles (10-6-1, 8-4-1) playoff hopes are still alive, but will need to defeat Austin College in order to make it past the regular season. Game time is set for 1 p.m. in Sherman, Texas. The women’s game will follow at 3 p.m.
