Eagles Drop Game Against York

Clarksville, Ark.-The Eagles (3-2) dropped a 12-2 decision to York College (3-4) on Saturday in Clarksville.

York got the first score of the game when it put one run on the board in the first inning. Ozarks wouldn’t score until the fifth inning when Hays knocked in Frankie Collazo and Justin Brown knocked in Hays on a double. The Eagles would hold the 2-1 lead for only a short time as York’s bats came alive in the final three innings of play. York would score four runs in both the sixth and seventh innings. York put two runs on the board in the eighth and one run in the ninth. Hays, Brown and Trevor Holbert each had two this apiece. Heckmann (1-1) received the loss after pitching five innings. The Eagles varsity squad returns to action for their first American Southwest Conference series with Schreiner University this weekend. Friday’s game is set to start at 2:00 p.m. Saturday’s seven-inning double-header begins at 12:00 p.m.
