Abilene, Texas- Hardin-Simmons University broke a scoreless first half by scoring two goals in the second half to secure a 2-0 American Southwest Conference win Friday.
The Cowboys (3-2-0, 1-0-0 ASC) claimed momentum of the match when it scored early in the second half. Matt Pitcock flicked one in at the 49:29 mark to put the Cowboys ahead. Hardin-Simmons scored again in the 66th minute to mount pressure on Ozarks (0-3-1, 0-1-0 ASC). Ozarks generated four shots in the second half, including a shot on goal by Dylan Amacher in the 84th minute. The match saw a combined 28 fouls.
Amacher finished with a team-best three shots.
Ozarks will travel to Brownwood, Texas to face Howard Payne University tomorrow.
