Clarksville, Ark.-The Eagles used a six-run fourth inning to earn a 6-3 victory over La Grange College on Sunday afternoon in Jackson, Mississippi.
The game remained scoreless through four and one-half innings until Robby Finnell was hit by a pitch to lead off the bottom of the fourth. Todd Koch followed with a triple, and then scored on an errant throw by the second baseman. With one out, Freddy Flores stepped to the plate and recorded Ozarks (3-1, 0-0) second triple of the inning. Flores would cross the plate on the next at bat as Scott Dietz reached on an error. Hank Rogers followed with a walk and then David Smith grounded out to put a pair of runners in scoring position. John Glenn then delivered an infield single to score Dietz. Logan Kizer and Finnell hit back-to-back singles to give the Eagles a 6-0 lead. La Grange (2-2) got a run in the fifth and sixth innings to make it 6-2. With two outs and a runner in scoring position in the top of the ninth, Kyle Hudson forced a groundout to end the game. It was his second save of the weekend.
Bruce Cameron (1-0) started and picked up the win. He went six and two-third innings, gave up two earned runs and struck out two. Brett Wood went two innings and gave up one earned run.
Finnell went 2-for-2 with an RBI.
