Clarksville, Ark.-The Eagles cruised to an easy 80-60 season-opening win over Hendrix College behind a solid shooting night.

Ozarks (1-0) hit 33-of-55 (60.7%) from the field and got 15 points from Bryton Flint off the bench to open up a big lead midway through the second half. The Eagles also shot 50 percent from the three-point line and 78 percent from the free throw line to help their cause. Ozarks largest lead in the first half was eight points, which came on four different occasions. Flint sparked the Eagles with 10 first half points.

Holding a 37-29 halftime lead, the Eagles extended their advantage to 49-36 with 13:32 left in the game. Ozarks continued to drive to the basket in the second half and would hold a 62-46 advantage on a Flint layup with 7:54 remaining. Hendrix (0-1) never cut it to single digits after that.

Flint hit 6-of-9 from the field, while Kasey Lewis had ten points and ten rebounds. Ronnie Dodd added 11 points.

Ozarks will travel to Birmingham, Alabama, to play in the Birmingham-Southern College tournament November 18-19.
