Clarksville, Ark.-The Eagles clinched a spot in the American Southwest Conference post-season tournament for the fourth consecutive year with a 3-0 win over Austin College (9-8-1, 7-6-1) on Friday afternoon in Sherman, Texas.
The Eagles (11-6-1, 9-4-1) will play McMurry University on November 7 at the University of Texas-Dallas at a time to be determined later. The Eagles offense came to life in the second half by recording 15 shots and scoring all three goals in the final 45 minutes. The Eagles would score twice in the span of two minutes. Will Brahic’s goal in the 65th minute changed the momentum of the match when he blew through two defenders and scored. Jared Gordon set up Brahic’s goal with a perfect pass. Ryan Skelly would score on a header in the 67th minute to deflate the Kangaroos defense. Brahic recorded the assist. Ricky Herrera would finalize Ozarks scoring in the 85th minute with a rocket shot past the goalkeeper. The Eagles had 25 shots on the day. Brahic led the team with 6 shots and Ron Hogsett had 5 shots. Goalkeeper Chris Schultz had six saves.
