Conway, Ark.-Jaren Riley hit seven three-pointers to push Hendrix College past Ozarks 70-60 Tuesday night in non-conference action.

Riley scored nearly half of the Warriors points as he finished with 33 on 7-of-10 shooting from the three-point line. Ozarks (1-3) never took the lead in the game, but it did climb within 26-25 after an Andrew Cummings layup with four minutes left in the first half. Hendrix went into intermission with a 33-29 advantage behind Riley’s 15 first half points.

Marcus Bobb scored 17 of the Eagles 31 second half points, but it wouldn’t be enough to slow the Warriors. Riley hit four three’s in the second half to help Hendrix (1-2) outscore Ozarks 37-31. Bobb’s inside bucket with 11:41 remaining in the game pulled Ozarks within 47-43. However, Hendrix quickly built an 11-point advantage two minutes later. The Eagles would cut the deficit to four points one more time, but that would be as close as they could get.

Bobb finished with a team-high 19 points. Jermery Victor added 11 points off the bench. Isaiah Boxell had eight assists.

Ozarks will open American Southwest Conference play against Texas-Dallas November 24.
