Clarksville, Ark.-The Eagles proved to be too much for Rust College in a 77-67 victory in the Hendrix Classic on Friday.

Ozarks held a 37-34 lead over Rust at halftime, but the Bearcats fought back to tie the game at 59 all late in the second half. The Eagles used a 10-2 spurt to overcome a pesky Rust team. Ozarks had four players in double figures. Michael Young led the Eagles with 18 points followed by Brent Gibb’s 13 points. Travis Acord and Daniel Watson each had 12 points. “You could tell it was the first game for both teams because neither team was very sharp,” said Head Coach Johnny Johnson. “Daniel Watson came off the bench in the first half to give us a lift and I thought the last four minutes of the game we executed well. Brent Johnson played good in those last four minutes to lead us to the win.”
