Jackson, Miss.-Freddy Prince and Sam Shook each came up with clutch hits to complete a wild come-from-behind 13-10 victory over Millsaps College Saturday afternoon in the Millsaps College Invitational.

With the score tied 10-10 in the tenth, Drew Clark led off with a single to ignite the rally. With two outs, Rodger Montano connected for a single to put two runners on base, and Prince then delivered an RBI double to give Ozarks (2-0) a 11-10 advantage. Shook followed with a two-run single for a decisive 13-10 lead.

Ozarks needed more magic in the eighth when it trailed 7-5. The Eagles came up with a big five run inning behind three hits. The lead didn’t last long as Millsaps (0-1) answered with two runs in the bottom half of the eighth and one run in the ninth.

It was the first victory over Millsaps for the Eagles.

Shook finished 4-for-6 with 2 RBI and three runs. Mitchell Powers, Nick Brill and Montano each had two hits.

Ozarks totaled 14 hits, while Millsaps had nine.

Montano (1-0) was the winning pitcher as he threw the final two innings. Jeffery Works went six innings as the starter and gave up just one run.

The Eagles will take on Rhodes College at 7:30 p.m. at Mississippi College Saturday.
