Dr. Shelli Henehan, assistant professor of education at University of the Ozarks, has been elected to the board of the Arkansas Early Childhood Association (AECA).
Henehan’s two-year term began on Jan. 1. She will serve as the board’s treasurer.
AECA is a non-profit organization that is affiliated with the regional Southern Early Childhood Association (SECA). The goals of AECA are to increase professional growth opportunities for early childhood educators, along with providing useful publications for its audience. AECA is also instrumental is supporting public policy issues for the children of Arkansas.
"I am excited to begin serving on the board," Henehan said. "I love working with others who recognize the importance of high-quality early childhood experiences, both for the children and their caregivers."
