Dara Clark Garners ASC Hitter of the Week Honors

Clarksville, Ark.-University of the Ozarks freshman left fielder Dara Clark garnered American Southwest Conference Co-East Division Hitter of the Week honors, it was announced on Monday afternoon.

Clark, a 5-5 native of Farmington, proved to be a tough out as she collected seven hits to lead Ozarks to three wins in the four-game ASC East series against LeTourneau University over the weekend. The left-handed Clark batted .538 (7-for-13) with a double and two RBI at the plate. She was impressive on the base paths, stealing five bases in five attempts and scoring three runs. Clark is off to a fast start to her collegiate career, ranking sixth in the ASC in batting (.412) and second in stolen bases (15). She has started in 23 games for the 13-14 Lady Eagles and has nine multiple-hit games. She is a graduate of Farmington High School where she helped the Lady Cardinals to the state championship last season.
