Dallas author to hold book signing at University of the Ozarks

Clarksville, Ark. -- Dallas attorney and author Edward V. Smith III will hold a book signing for his new novel, The Deadly Dying, from 10:30 a.m. to noon on Friday, Oct. 5, at the University of the Ozarks' Robson Library.

Smith has been a member of the U of O Board of Trustees since 1985. Writing under the pen name Hawthorne Vance, Smith’s first novel was The Saracen’s Golden Armor written in 2003.

The Deadly Dying" height=Texas Monthly and was one of seven lawyers in his field to be named "Best Lawyers in Dallas," by D Magazine. Last year, the probate section of the Dallas Bar Association awarded him The Lifetime Achievement Award and the Texas Center for Legal Ethics and the Dallas Bar Association awarded him the Morris Harrell Award for Professionalism, the highest honor given by the Dallas Bar Association.
