Clarksville, Ark.- The women?s and men?s cross country teams participated in the Arkansas Tech Invitational in Russellville Friday afternoon.
In the women’s race, Kara Willbanks finished 13th overall after running a 13:52 in the two-mile race. Seanan Heaney was Ozarks’ second finisher with a time of 16:19. Sara Sizemore and Cindy Henriquez rounded out Ozarks’ participants by running a 16:34 and 18:08, respectively.
In the men’s race, Matt Friant was again Ozarks’ top runner as he posted a 21:57 in the four-mile race. Friant finished 10th overall, and was followed by Calvin Jones (23:41), Robert Elder (24:12), Nick Brill (24:57), Max Hilgendorf (27:14) and Chase Karnstadt (29:24). Ozarks was second as a team behind Harding University.
Ozarks will host the Arkansas D-III Championships October 17 at 4:00 p.m.
