Clarksville, Ark.-The Hardin-Simmons University women's soccer team pushed their American Southwest Conference unbeaten streak to 110 games after a 6-0 win over the Lady Eagles Thursday.
Ozarks’ goalkeeper Lori Langman snagged several balls out of the air in the first half, including a Jordan Morley shot in the 19th minute, to keep the match scoreless. However, Taylor Thigpen would later score twice to make it 2-0 at the half. Heather Dryden gave Ozarks (2-8-0, 1-3-0) its best chance to score in the first half, but Cowgirl goalkeeper Christi Carr was able to make the save.
The second half belonged to Hardin-Simmons (7-1-0, 4-0-0) as it recorded 18 shots. The Cowgirls scored early in the second half to extend the lead to 3-0. They would add three more late goals to keep their unbeaten streak intact.
Ozarks will continue ASC play when it hosts McMurry University this Saturday.
