Corbell Hits Game-Winner

Clarksville, Ark.-The Lady Eagles remain in contention for a playoff spot after picking up a 65-63 victory over UT-Dallas on Saturday in American Southwest Conferencea action.

The Lady Eagles out scored UT-Dallas 31-21 in the second half and used a Jenna Corbell shot late in the game to pick up their third league win of the season. Ozarks overcame a 42-34 first half deficit and Corbell’s final points of the contest proved to be the game-winner as she scored with 11 seconds remaining to seal the win. Ozarks hit 25-of-51 (49%) from the floor in the game with holding UT-Dallas to a 38 percent shooting mark from the field in the game. Carter, who has led Ozarks in scoring in 10 games this season, scored 23 points on 10-of-14 shooting from the field. Corbell added 13 points. Carter grabbed a team-best 8 rebounds. The Lady Eagles travel to Pineville, Louisiana, to face Louisiana College on January 29 and to Clinton, Mississippi, to take on Mississippi College on January 31.
