Clarksville, Ark.-University of the Ozarks cross country runners Tristan Cooper and David James were named to the United States Track & Field And Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Region Team following strong performances at the NCAA III South/Southeast Regional last month.
The top 35 finishers in each region automatically earn All-Region honors from the USTFCCCA.
Cooper, a junior from Jasper, ran a 26:07 in the 8K, placing him 14th overall at the NCAA III South/Southeast race. Cooper just missed qualifying for the national race by seven seconds. Cooper earned All-Conference First Team honors this season.
James, a junior from Parthenon, ran a 26:24 for a 25th-place finish. He was named to the All-Conference First Team for the second straight year. He additionally earned All-Region honors a year ago.
