Concordia University Texas Women Top Ozarks

Clarksville, Ark.-The Lady Eagles opened their match against Concordia University Texas in strong fashion only to have the Tornados score twice in the second half to secure a 3-0 American Southwest Conference win Thursday.

Ozarks (6-9-0, 1-5-0 ASC) will host Mary Hardin-Baylor Saturday at 12:30 pm. Senior Monica Seiler will be honored following the match as a part of “Senior Day”. Live video will be available of the match at http://www.ustream.tv/channel/university-of-the-ozarks-athletics.

Ozarks created a number of scoring opportunities early in the match, but couldn’t find the back of the net. Concordia (5-3-3, 3-1-1 ASC) would eventually score in the 33rd minute to maintain a 1-0 halftime advantage. The Tornados then took momentum of the match after scoring in the 48th minute. Concordia put the match out of reach in the 60th minute with another goal.
    
Vicky Romero and Kanisha Eckart each had two shots. Codie Freeman had four saves in goal for Ozarks.
