Clarksville, Ark.-Colin Butscheck and Gerry Morrison combined for a four-hit shutout to give Concordia University Texas a 7-0 win over the Eagles Friday night in Austin, Texas.

Butscheck limited Ozarks’ bats to three hits during his seven innings on the mound while Morrison gave up just one hit in two innings of work. The Tornados (7-5) gave Butscheck three runs to work with in the first inning and then added another in the third. That’s all Butscheck would need as he cruised through the first seven innings and allowed only four base runners during that time. Chris Young and Kurt Shemanske both had singles in the third for the Eagles’ most productive inning. However, the Tornados forced a double play and got a strikeout to end the frame.

Ozarks falls to 2-11 overall.

Sam Brownwood (1-2) took the loss in five and two-third innings as the starter. He fanned five.

Ozarks will continue their series with a double-header starting at 1:00 pm.
