The Department of Education announced a further delay to release batches of FAFSA information (ISIRs) to schools until the first half of March.

Concordia Scores 11 Runs In Final Two Innings To Hand Ozarks Loss

Austin, Texas- Concordia University Texas scored a combined 11 runs in the seventh and eighth innings to break open a close game and earn a 17-6 win over the Eagles in the Concordia University Texas Tournament Saturday.

Ozarks (5-2) did open the game with a 3-0 lead behind four hits. Nick Brill posted a two-run single and Taylor Parker connected for an RBI single, but Concordia (3-6) answered with two runs in the bottom half of the first. Concordia would eventually extend its lead to 5-3 after four complete innings. However, Ozarks responded with three runs in the fifth to go ahead 6-5 on two hits and one Concordia error. Concordia again evened the score with a run in the bottom of the fifth and then took the momentum when it scored five times in the bottom of the seventh. After holding Ozarks scoreless in the seventh and the eighth, Concordia put the game out of reach with six runs in the eighth.

Concordia had 16 hits to Ozarks 10. Rodger Montano got the start on the mound and went four innings. Nathan Cedor (0-1) suffered the loss.

Tony Morales went 3-for-4. Parker and Brill went 2-for-3 with two RBI.

Ozarks will have ten straight home games starting with Hendrix College Tuesday at 1:30 p.m.
