Austin, Texas-The Eagles held Concordia University Texas scoreless during regulation only to see the Tornados score in the 98 minute to earn a 1-0 American Southwest Conference win Friday.
The Eagles (3-7-1, 3-5-0 ASC) defense held off an attacking Concordia (3-8-1, 2-5-0 ASC) offense throughout the day, but the Tornados eventually broke down the defense to score the game-winner late in the first overtime. Concordia had two shots on goal in the first and second half, but Ozarks’ goalkeeper Matt Mouer fought off each attempt. Concordia had a solid overtime effort as it recorded six shots in eight minutes.
Mouer recorded six saves for the Eagles.
