The Department of Education announced a further delay to release batches of FAFSA information (ISIRs) to schools until the first half of March.

Commencement set for May 12

Clarksville, Ark. --- The University of the Ozarks will confer bachelor degrees to 114 graduates during its 173rd Commencement ceremony at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, May 12, on the Clarksville campus.

The Commencement ceremony will be held on the campus mall in front of the Robson Library. In case of inclement weather, the ceremony will be moved to Mabee Gymnasium, on the north side of campus. The 2007 Commencement speaker will be Wayne Callahan of Rogers, Ark. Callahan is an executive for the H.J. Heinz Company, where he is the president of the Global Wal-Mart Business division. The day will begin with a Baccalaureate service for the graduates and their families at 9 a.m. in Munger Chapel. The Rev. Nancy J. Benson-Nicol, the campus chaplain, will deliver the proclamation. The 2007 Commencement and Baccalaureate services are dedicated in honor and memory of Dr. Helen R. Walton, the late honorary chair of the Board of Trustees.
