Clarksville, Ark.-Boise native Aaron Coats has earned American Southwest Conference soccer defensive Player of the Week for his three-game performance with the Eagles.
Coats, a defender who graduated from Capital High School in 1998, was the key defensive player in last week’s 3-0 mark. His strong defensive marking of the top strikers from Hendrix College, University of Dallas and Austin College was instrumental as U of O outscored these opponents, 18-2. Coats has been a major part of Ozarks’ conference leading .65 goals against average. The Eagles are currently 15-0-1 overall and 8-0-1 in the conference. Ozarks is an NCAA III member of the sixteen-team American Southwest Conference. Coats is the son of Rich and Carol Coats
