Clark Scores Twice; Eagles Improve To 12-4-0

Clarksville, Ark.-Senior midfielder Darren Clark scored once in the first half and then added another in the second half to lift the Eagles to a 2-0 win over Howard Payne University on Saturday.

Ozarks improves to 12-4-0 overall and 7-2-0 in American Southwest Conference play. The Eagles trail only Mississippi College (8-3-1, 7-1-1) in the league standings.

Clark netted a goal in the 28th minute, his sixth of the season, and then scored again in the 63rd minute, giving him his 11th career goal. Matt Engelman received the assist.

Ozarks dominated the shots column, out shooting the Yellow Jackets (2-9-1, 1-7-1) 25-7. Clark and Brandon Cain each had three shots. Brian Sarber collected his sixth shutout of the season.

Ozarks will host Schreiner University on October 19 and Texas Lutheran University on October 21.
